LUKE ATKIN has won a bare knuckle boxing world title - and will look to defend his crown in Manchester in the summer.

Former England amateur boxer Atkin - who used to live in York, but is now based in Warrington - won the Rogue Elite BKB light-heavyweight belt against former pro mixed martial arts fighter Dom Clarke with a second-round knockout in Coventry.

And Clarke will be his opponent again on Saturday, August 4 at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester when the two square up in a quick rematch.

On the line will be the Rogue Elite belt and Atkin's Ultimate Bare Knuckle Boxing (UBKB) cruiserweight title which was won in March against Andy Roberts, again with a second-round knockout.

The two triumphs saw Atkin become the only person in history to hold two bare knuckle boxing title belts at different weights. Both UBKB and Rogue Elite insist their shows are licensed and above board.

Atkin, 30, trains three times a day while based at a training camp in Warrington run by trainer and promoter Shaun Smith, who is the owner of UBKB and Smithy's Gym. Smith also has a TV programme on Netflix and a contract with Spike TV.

Tickets are available for Atkin's August fight from Alison Dusty Rhodes, who can be contacted via Facebook or by email at alisondustyrhodes@gmail.com.

Atkin will also be taking part in conventional boxing on July 14 when he fights Neil Huntley for the English Gloved title over eight rounds in a Boxmania show at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham.
