THE search for missing Paul Parvin has extended to the East coast.

North Yorkshire Police said Mr Parvin has been missing from his home in Sessay near Thirsk since April 30, and searched have so far taken place in York and Harrogate.

A spokeswoman said a potential sighting of him in Scarborough this weekend has refocused the search, and urged anyone with information to contact them.

She said: "Officers believe he is travelling around the county and possibly living rough. They are appealing accommodation providers including hotels, guest houses, hostels and pubs to contact them if they believe Paul may be staying with them.

"Paul is described as white, 5’11” with short but wavy, black, greying hair and a short beard/stubble. He is believed to be wearing a plain black baseball cap, a red and black checked lumberjack style shirt, black denim jeans and short black boots. He is also possibly wearing a three quarter length olive/khaki green coat with a fleece lining and hood."
