The new chairman of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Cllr Margaret Chadwick
EAST Riding of Yorkshire Council has a new chairman and vice chairman.
Cllr Margaret Chadwick has been elected as chairman and will serve until May 2019.
She has been a councillor for Bridlington South ward since her election in 2003.
Cllr Chadwick has already had a taste of what her year as chairman will entail as she was the chairman’s lady when her husband Chad was chairman of the authority in 2012/13.
They are also the first husband and wife to have held the position of chairman.
Cllr Pat Smith has been elected vice chairman.
