THIEVES broke into two industrial units near York.
North Yorkshire Police said the thieves broke into the units in Wheldrake between 5.15pm on Wednesday and 9am on Thursday.
A spokesman said the thieves were believed to have been looking for tools and machinery, but were disturbed during the burglary as nothing was stolen.
Forensic, CCTV and house-to-house enquiries have been carried out.
