A NEW exhibition is about to open at the Treasure House in Beverley, focusing on Black history in Hull and East Yorkshire.
'Our Histories Revealed" opens on Saturday, May 5 and is a partnerships project with the William Wilberforce Monument Fund.
For the last two years, the team behind the project has explored Black history in Hull and East Yorkshire - from Black servicemen based in East Yorkshire during the Second World War to activists and abolitionists speaking out against slavery, Black sailors who settled and had families in Hull and Black actors, entertainers, sportsmen and entrepreneurs in the area.
