TRANSPORT experts from the University of Leeds will give a presentation outlining their ideas for a new bus strategy for York.
Residents can hear what the experts have to say at the York Bus Forum meeting and AGM on Tuesday, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, at West Office, Station Rise, York.
Professor Tony May and Professor Greg Marsden from the university’s Institute for Transport Studies will present their ideas for how bus services should be developed across the city.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.
Graham Collett, chairman of York Bus Forum, said: "City of York Council’s Sustainable Transport Team asked for the Forum’s ideas on a new bus strategy for the city and this event will help to shape our thinking.”
The Forum has made a submission to City of York Council’s Local Plan consultation, expressing its concern about many of the transport aspects.
It hopes that a new Local Transport Plan will start to be prepared, once the current consultation process has been completed.
All are welcome to attend Tuesday's meeting.
