ONE person was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in a flat in York this morning (April 13).
Firefighters were called to the fire in Southfield Crescent, Dringhouses, at about 7.20am and found a fire to a tea towel in the flat.
They used a hose reel jet to put the fire out.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire fire service said the flames caused damage to the tea towel and a washing machine.
"One person at the flat was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation," the spokeswoman added.
Two fire engines, an ambulance and a police van attended the incident.
