PARAMEDICS are hoping to teach lifesaving skills to as many youngsters as possible on Restart a Heart Day on October 16.
As part of the campaign, staff from Yorkshire Ambulance Service will visit secondary schools across the region to show them how to perform CPR. If someone suffers a heart attack, their chances of survival double if a passerby starts CPR before paramedics arrive.
Schools can sign up for the event at restartaheart.yas.nhs.uk.
