GRAND Central rail is set to refurbish 10 of its trains as part of a £9 million programme.
The train operator, which runs services between York and London King’s Cross, will upgrade carriages with new seats, new flooring, better toilets and more power sockets.
The interior and exterior will also be redecorated. Catering will also be improved as part of the scheme.
Managing director Richard McClean said passengers will enjoy travelling in “greater comfort, in smart surroundings".
