THE next stage of roadworks is set to start in York next weekend.
Following the changes to signals at Lendal Arch, City of York Council will resurface sections of Rougier Street, Station Road, Station Rise, Leeman Road and Station Avenue.
Work will take place between 8.30pm and 5.30am every night except Fridays and Saturdays for up to two weeks, and is due to begin on Sunday, April 8.
Road closures will be in place during the works, with diversions through Nunnery Lane and Water End to avoid Lendal Bridge, Rougier Street and Leeman Road. All vehicles will still be able to access the station from the Blossom Street direction.
There will also be some single lane closures around bus stops on Station Road and Station Avenue as the new surfaces take 24 hours to cure, but these are planned to happen for only one day in the first week.
