CLIFTON Backies nature reserve is holding a "scything taster day" next weekend.
The St Nick's nature reserve manager, experienced scythe tutor, will be there on Saturday, April 7 from 10am to 1pm, to teach people how to use traditional Austrian scythes for managing wildlife-rich grasslands. The session will include practical tips, health and safety, and wildlife.
Entry is free but booking is essential by emailing jonathan@stnicks.org.uk. All tools and equipment provided.
