TRANSPORT for the North will hold its first public board meeting next week.
The newly formed sub-national transport body will formally take up its powers at the meeting on Thursday, April 5 at 2pm, which is taking place at Mann Island in Liverpool. Elected leaders from nineteen local and combined authorities will be there along with representatives of LEPs, Highways England, HS2 and rail bodies. The meeting will include an update on the strategic transport plan being drawn, among other things.
