STUDENTS from Malton School have taken part in the finals of the Young Scientist of the Year competition.
The pupils competed against hundreds of other students at The Big Bang UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair in Birmingham. The event is the UK's largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths for young people.
Science teacher Nicky-Jo Cooper said: “We didn’t win this time, but the group represented the school at an incredibly high level, both with their work and conduct throughout this demanding three-day event.
“Our students more than held their own against the standard of entry and I am very proud of them. We are already working on project ideas for next year, bigger and better.”
