A HELMSLEY hairdresser celebrated its 35th year in business by having a reunion of people who have been part of its team over the years – in the building where its first salon was based, now a restaurant.
Viva Hair, now based in Barkers Yard, has been run by Mandy Silk since it first opened its doors on March 15, 1983.
She invited the 16 hairdressers who have worked with her over the past 35 years to go for afternoon tea at Mannions, where her salon was situated for the first 29 years.
“It’s been lovely to get some of the team together again,” she said.
