A CAR is believed to have been deliberately set alight in a village near Selby.
A crew from Selby was called to the scene in Marsh Lane, Barlow, at 1.30am today (March 11).
The car was "completely destroyed" by the blaze, a spokeswoman for North Yorkshire fire service said.
She added that the cause is "believed to be deliberate."
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police confirmed that it is treating the fire as "suspicious" and that inquiries are ongoing.
Firefighters put out the blaze using a hose reel jet and breathing apparatus.
