THE A19 will be down to a single lane at Crockey Hill while three-way traffic lights are used from Monday.
City of York Council said this is likely to be the most disruptive phase of the roadworks as it widens the southern area of the junction.
The lights will be operational from 10am to 3.30pm and the A19 will be down to a single lane during this time.
From Tuesday, the Germany Beck development’s access works will require single lane traffic, all day and night – except for weekends - on the A19.
This will last for around two weeks.
Today (March 10), work started on the Station Road/ Station Rise corner in the Lendal Arch area of York.
The council said it has to change its traffic management to accommodate this, and is running three-way traffic lights.
Traffic is down to one lane on each approach to the signals.
This phase of the roadworks is likely to last for two weeks, depending on the weather.
