A CRASH involving five cars on the A64 near York caused long queues for motorists this morning.
North Yorkshire Police said it was called to the A64 eastbound near the turn off for Askham Bryan at about 8.50am.
It involved five cars - a white Ford KA, a blue Nissan Juke, a blue Nissan Micra, a black Vauxhall Corsa and a silver Vauxhall Corsa, the force added.
The road was blocked but reported clear at 10.20am.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said: "No major injuries were reported."
Meanwhile, Yorkshire Ambulance Service said it received a call at about 9.05am following a crash on the A64 involving one vehicle, also near Askham Bryan.
A spokeswoman for the service confirmed that one person was treated at the scene and no-one was taken to hospital.
