KYLIE Minogue will play Leeds First Direct Arena on October 4 on her Golden Tour to mark her 50th birthday.
Riding high with her new single, Dancing, the Australian pop singer and actress will release Golden as her first studio album in four years on April 6, and her autumn live shows will be built around the new record while embracing her back catalogue too.
In a first for Kylie, her 14th studio album was recorded mainly in Nashville, Tennessee, an experience that informed the sound, albeit still refracted through her trademark pop style. Every song was co-written by Kylie, making it her most personal record to date in a year when she turns 50 on May 28.
Leeds will be the only Yorkshire destination on Kylie's 13-date September and October tour. Tickets go on sale on March 2 at firstdirectarena.com, on 0844 248 1585 and via Kylie's website, kylie.com. Kylie fans can take advantage of a pre-sale offer on February 28, with more information available at kylie.lnk.to/live.
