POLICE are investigating an attempted burglary at a house in Selby.
North Yorkshire Police said it happened in Barlby Road between 5pm on Saturday and noon on Sunday.
A spokesman for the force explained: "The offenders tried to gain entry to the house by smashing the top section of the kitchen window at the rear of the property. An attempt was also made to jemmy open the UPVC window frame. Nothing was stolen."
Anyone with information about this incident or anyone who possibly recalls suspicious behaviour in the area around this time are urged to phone North Yorkshire Police on 101.
