THIEVES broke into a York school and stole a fire extinguisher.
North Yorkshire Police said thieves smashed a door at Bootham School between 4.30am and 5.30am on Saturday, February 10, and also went on to cause damage throughout the building.
A spokesman said officers wanted help to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, and urged anyone who was in the area or saw anything suspicious at the time to contact them.
