Firefighters tackled chimney fires
FIREFIGHTERS tackled three chimney fires in Ryedale on Sunday, February18.
The chimney at a property in Wood Street, Norton, was well alight when crews arrived, and they extinguished it from the roof.
The other fires happened in Manor Drive, Pickering and in Church Lane, Thornton-Le-Dale - the latter following a build-up of resin from logs in the flue.
Crews from Pickering dismantled the hearth to investigate the Thornton chimney fire.
