YORK Central MP Rachael Maskell sent a Valentine’s Card to the Chancellor of the Exechequer, but it had nothing to do with romance.
She signed a February 14 message from the TUC which calls on him to “show public sector workers some love”.
The card is part of the TUC’s campaign to end the pay cap on public section workers.
Ms Maskell said: “As a proud trade unionist throughout my working life, I know that workplaces are more productive when workers are in a trade union. “
She said she hoped the card would highlight the effect of austerity on public services.
