NORTH Yorkshire Police spent almost £50,000 policing anti-fracking protests in Kirby Misperton last month.
New figures provided by the county’s Police and Crime Commissioner revealed £48,101 was spent in January on fees including overtime - more than £10,000 less than December 2017.
The reduced expenditure was put down to the company behind the work at the site, Third Energy, putting it on hold.
