DEADLINES are approaching for people voting in the upcoming Holgate council by-election.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 30, is the final day for people to register to vote in time for the poll on Thursday February 15. The deadline for postal voting applications is on January 31, and for proxy votes on February 7. Register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
The poll has been triggered by the resignation Labour councillor and former Lord Mayor Cllr Sonja Crisp. Labour, the Conservatives, the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party are all fielding candidates.
