ALMOST 55,000 visitors experienced the Christmas light show at York Museum Gardens this year. The attraction ran from November 16 to January 1 and transformed the 10-acre gardens into an array of light shows along a one-kilometre trail.
The show included giant musical LED trees, a display of ever-changing coloured globes and a dazzling 20m tunnel of twinkling lights.
A series of festive projections on the dramatic backdrop of the historic ruins of St Mary’s Abbey also added to the attraction for visitors as they made their way along the trail.
