NORTH Yorkshire Police said a guard dog which is believed to have been poisoned at the Kirby Misperton fracking site, is recovering well.
Two men were arrested after pellets, suspected to be aniseed balls, were thrown over the fence into the site and a guard dog had eaten some, been taken sick and collapsed.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on Monday in Kirby Misperton on suspicion of administering poison to an animal, and causing criminal damage to an animal.
A 61-year-old man was arrested on a bus at Tadcaster Bus Station at 2.50pm on suspicion of causing criminal damage to an animal, in connection with the same incident.
Both men were later released by police and remain on bail.
