A TEENAGER has been arrested after a police car window was smashed with a drainpipe.
North Yorkshire Police were responding to reports of youths throwing objects at vehicles near St John's Church, Harrogate, at about 8.40pm on Saturday, when a six-foot drainpipe was used to smash the rear window.
Despite a foot chase and door to door enquiries, nobody was arrested at the time, but police said on Wednesday a 17-year-old male had since been arrested and released under investigation.
Anyone with information or who saw the incident should phone Harrogate Police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111 quoting reference 12180003428.
