A CAR crashed into a house in a village near York early on Christmas Eve.
North Yorkshire Police said the vehicle was travelling at high speed at about 4am when it lost control and collided with a property near the church in Rufforth.
A spokesman said two occupants in the vehicle were apprehended, one of whom was suffering from minor injuries.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said Acomb firefighters were called by police to the collision but carried out scene safety only, as nobody remained there.
