RESIDENTS are being encouraged to make sure they order and collect their prescriptions before the Christmas holidays begin.
The Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is reminding patients to pick up any medication as soon as possible, and before bank holidays, to ensure they do not run out over the festive season.
The CCG believe that not having enough prescriptions during the Christmas holidays, when GP surgeries and pharmacies might be closed or have limited opening hours, could have serious consequences for people who use medication to control long-term health conditions.
