A CERAMICS gallery has become the latest York business to spread some festive cheer after unveiling the 11th window of this year’s Living Advent Calendar.

Lotte Inch Gallery revealed its window, which included original illustrations for One Christmas Wish by Katherine Rundell, drawn by York Culture Award Winner Emily Sutton.

The gallery, in Bootham, also upped the stakes by creating their own advent window, which will run alongside the annual Visit York event.

Lotte said the public's reaction to the main window had been positive, and her own reaction to the side project had been one of surprise.

She said: "We're really pleased with our window this year, it's been great fun to put together.

"It's fun for us because I did it really late when I was really tired and I can't really remember what's behind each door."

You can follow the advent reveals on the Visit York Facebook page, or use the hashtag #YorkAdvent, and can vote for your favourite window from Boxing Day until Friday, January 5.

Organisers VisitYork will be announcing the lucky winner in The Press on January 8.
