CREATING a great school takes patience, says Huntington School head John Tomsett.
He is right about that. Good schools don’t appear from nowhere. They are built over time through the shared effort and dedication of staff and pupils, and the gradual development of an ethos of success, inclusion and care.
It is an effort that has certainly paid off at Huntington School, however. The school has just - for the first time in its history - been declared Outstanding in every single area by a team of inspectors from Ofsted.
That’s quite an achievement. Mr Tomsett, his staff, and all his pupils, too, are quite literally top of the class. Well done, everyone.
