A CCTV image has been released of a man police want to speak to after a purse was allegedly stolen from a woman's handbag in North Yorkshire.
North Yorkshire Police said the theft happened in Bon Marche on Westborough, Scarborough, at about 10.10am yesterday.
A police spokesman explained: "A woman was approached by a man from behind. The man, who had entered the store with a woman, pushed the female victim in the shoulder then stole her purse from her handbag."
The victim has described her purse as a long plain gold purse from TK MAXX, worth £11, and inside the purse was £40 in cash and loose change, the spokesman added.
