Londoners receive more unwanted Christmas presents than the rest of the UK.
A GROUP has launched an appeal to make sure children get a present this Christmas.
Together Our Resources Can Help (TORCH) is collecting gifts and giving them to primary schools to distribute.
Books, toys or games can be dropped off at Tesco Clifton Moor’s main entrance and Best Western Hotels Head Office, in Clifton Moor.
TORCH bosses believe handing out the gifts allows parents to retain their dignity as they are still able to provide a gift for their child, even if they are struggling financially.
