MIDGE Ure, with his band Electronica, The Christians and Altered Images featuring Clare Grogan form the Eighties' bill on a new British tour that visits the Grand Opera House, York, tonight at 7.30pm.
Ure was a member of The Rich Kids, Slik, Visage, Thin Lizzy, Band Aid and, above all, Ultravox, while Liverpool band The Christians had such hits as Forgotten Town, Hooverville, Ideal World and Harvest For The World.
Altered Images, the Scottish new wave/post-punk band fronted by Clare Grogan, had six Top 40 singles and three Top 30 albums between 1981 and 1983 and are best known for Happy Birthday, I Could Be Happy and Don't Talk To Me About Love.
