A PERFORMANCE of Bollywood Jazz which fuses Indian and Jazz music is being staged in York tomorrow.
The concert is from 7.30pm, at The National Centre for Early Music, at St Margaret's Church, Walmgate, as part of a six-date tour.
Bollywood Jazz is inspired by the songs and instrumental music of Bollywood films and has been created by Yorkshire South Asian arts organisation Manasamitra whose founder Supriya Nagarajan, is a leading Carnatic vocalists in the UK.
From Madan Mohan to AR Rahman, it will appeal to anyone keen to experience an entirely new sound full of improvisation, rhythm and melody with a cool jazz vibe underneath.
