ACCORDING to The Press report (October 13), headlined “More time needed on Brexit divorce bill”, the Brexit talks appear to have Brexited or in other words have come to a grinding halt.

I really must ask the question: Are Michel Barnier and David Davis ever at the same meeting?

The only thing that appears to be still moving is the jaws of Theresa May, Philip Hammond and Boris Johnson et al.

When Theresa May ascended to the position of our Prime Minister in 2016 she made a speech, that she has regularly referred to in the days after replacing the resigned David Cameron, stating that she understood the position and condition of the “just about managing” families up and down the country.

Sadly, her policies do not reflect the fact that she even recognises the vast majority of people in this country.

Well, I have got news for Theresa May.

Since she uttered those now infamous words, due to her and her Government’s policies of austerity, the “just about managing” families are now hanging on by the skin of their teeth and want rid of austerity and you and your lot.

The only things that don’t seem to be moving these days are the removal vans to take her away from Downing Street.
