TWO choirs are ready to hit the high notes at Selby Abbey this weekend.
The boy choristers and lay clerks of Derby Cathedral Choir make their first visit to Selby Abbey at noon on Saturday to perform a 45 minute concert as part of their tour of northern churches and cathedrals. Admission is free and all are welcome. At 7.30pm on Saturday, the abbey welcomes back the Weighton Waytes choir under the leadership of Carole Readman. The choir will perform a concert of sacred and secular music.
Tickets are £7 on the door.
