THE economic shallowness of the Labour party as a government in waiting was recently exposed when an MP, whose financial acumen if described as limited is being generous, invoked a spontaneous standing ovation simply by calling for the nation to “borrow, borrow and borrow” more money.

Then to be followed by perhaps the next Chancellor of the Exchequer who also exhorted the case to spend billions plus even more billions of pounds we do not have.

All this to create a socialist utopia - for reality look at Venezuela.
