THE Russian State Ballet and Opera House will be performing family classic The Nutcracker at The Barbican in York on November 7 and at Harrogate Royal Hall on December 6.
Directed and choreographed by former Bolshoi Ballet Soloist, Konstantin Uralsky, the Christmas classic ballet tells the story of the nutcracker that becomes a prince.
When midnight strikes, the world turns magical in the wintry glitter of Christmas Eve.
Toys come alive, the Mouse-king and his mouse-army battle with the Nutcracker Prince and they travel through the Land of Snow to an enchanted place where the magic really begins
Russian State Ballet will also be performing other famous ballets, Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet in Yorkshire.
Swan Lake will be at Scarborough Spa on December 5 and Romeo and Juliet at Harrogate Royal Hall on December 7.
The ballets are accompanied by live music played by an orchestra of 30 musicians and world-class singers to Tchaikovsky’s score.
Tickets are available from venues.
