A TREEHOUSE dedicated to the memory of a four-year-old boy has been unveiled after a community helped raise £31,000.
Jake Smith, who had Dravet Syndrome, died in December 2016 after suffering a seizure at home.
His family were eager to do something to remember their son and helped design a treehouse at Robert Wilkinson School, in Strensall.

Built by York-based Playscheme, the structure is an educational and recreational space for youngsters.
Dr Suzanne Francis, who helped with the fundraising efforts, said: “People’s generosity has been phenomenal.
“There’s a lot of pride about it and Playscheme have done a beautiful job and deserve a huge amount of credit for taking the idea of Jake’s family and turning it into something that’s real.”
