A CITY of York Council standards meeting will be held in York today, looking at two councillors suspended from senior posts.
A joint standards assessment subcommittee will meet with independent councillor Johnny Hayes, Labour’s Mary Cannon and parish councillor Christopher Perrett on the panel. It is understood they will look at allegations against Cllrs Keith Aspden and Nigel Ayre - the two Lib Dems asked to stand down from the ruling executive.
Separately, a council document shows possible changes for committee seats - Cllrs Ayre and Aspden would replace Keith Orrell and Ann Reid who have stepped into their vacant executive posts.
