KEEN photographers are being invited to enter a competition which could win them exhibition slots and cash prizes of up to £250.
The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) has launched its Photography Competition, aimed at professional and amateur photographers as well as members of the public.
It has selected 20 significant civil engineering projects across the region - including York railway station, the underpining of York Minster, and Drax power station near Selby - and is asking for photographs of one of structures.
The photographs will be featured in a number of public spaces at a prestigious 200th anniversary exhibition next year, and the winning photographer will receive a prize of £250, with other cash prizes for second and third place.
ICE Yorkshire's Penny Marshall said it was vital to recognise big infrastructure projects and their importance to everyday life.
The closing date is October 31, details at bit.ly/ICEPhotoComp2017.
