I WAS rushed into York Hospital last week for emergency surgery and received skilful and professional care, for which I am exceedingly grateful.
The cabinet should hang their collective heads in shame that their incompetent management of the economy of the country requires York Hospital to borrow money to keep going beyond October.
Billions of pounds are spent on overseas aid to countries that either don’t need it or don’t deserve it: an aircraft carrier is built with no aircraft to fly on it; Trident and nuclear subs are irrelevant (who are they intending to fire missiles at?); the army has the smallest number of soldiers for centuries while the MoD remains bloated.
As for Brexit I assume the Germans will still want us to buy their cars and the French their wine so offer the EU one euro, take it or leave it, but fund the NHS properly.
