TWO people were taken to hospital after suffering minor burns and smoke inhalation in a house fire in York.
Three crews were called to the blaze at about 6.30pm yesterday in Tostig Avenue, Acomb, which broke out upstairs in a semi-detached house.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze "completely destroyed" one bedroom and "badly damaged" another.
Two people were taken to hospital after suffering superficial burns and smoke inhalation, the service added.
Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, lighting and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire.
An investigation will take place today to determine the cause of the fire.
