WOODTHORPE has hosted its second family fun day, thanks to a new community group formed 18 months ago.
The Woodthorpe York Community Group was set up just last year, and this weekend hosted its second annual family fun day at Woodthorpe Green.
Sarah Thompson, the community group's secretary, said they organised the day to bring people in the community together.
"We got a good turn out, and we have had a lot of positive feedback."
Money raised at the event is being donated to two local charities - Dementia Yorkshire and St Leonard's Hospice.
