THE charity Marie Curie is looking to recruit new volunteers to join its York West Fundraising Group.
The group, covering the postcodes YO23, YO24, YO26 & YO30, will raise money for Marie Curie and become the local faces of the charity.
Community fundraiser Jennifer Carmichael will be having an informal meeting with anyone interested in finding out more at Tesco Askham Bar at 6.30pm on Monday September 4.
She said fundraising groups played an important role by taking part in Marie Curie’s national fundraising campaigns such as the Great Daffodil Appeal and Blooming Great Tea Party.
