A DRIVER was pinned into her seat when a car park barrier swung shut on her vehicle in Bridlington today.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove a post so the woman could be removed from the car and left in the care of paramedics, while police investigated, said Humberside Fire & Rescue Service.
Meanwhile, a North Yorkshire fire crew cleared smoke logging from a flat in Hawthorn Avenue, Malton, after an unattended grill pan caught fire.
Another crew helped someone in Sandybed Lane, Scarborough, who became locked out of their property with a dog inside that required an insulin injection.
They gained access through an open window using a short extension ladder, said a spokesman.
