A WACKY golf day is being held at Malton and Norton Golf Club on Sunday to raise funds for the Rob Stephenson Trust.
Robert Stephenson died after being struck by a taxi on a night out in York in March 2016.
The 21-year-old, from Pickering, was a rugby player with Malton and Norton Rugby Union Club and a cricketer with Thornton-le-Dale Cricket Club.
He was in the third year of an agriculture degree at Newcastle University, with honours in agronomy.
Rob’s parents, Patrick and Nicki, and elder brother Sam, set up the Rob Stephenson Trust to help young people take part in sport.
The Wacky Golf will be held on Sunday, from 7.30am to 1.30pm.
It is open to members and non-members, males and females, made up of teams of four, costing £15 per person with half-way house.
There will be four ball competition with prizes. Entries now available by phoning the golf shop on 01653 693882.
