A CALF was rescued from the River Ouse near York.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call about the calf stuck in the river at Beningbrough at about 1.50pm yesterday.
A spokesman for the service said: "A fire service officer attended to assess, and assisted a farmer in releasing the calf from the river."
