TWO men have been arrested after yet another pharmacy was broken into in York - the fifth such burglary in 10 nights.
MJ Roberts Pharmacy in Boroughbridge Road was burgled at about 4.20am today, said North Yorkshire Police.
Owner Matthew Roberts said a window was smashed and prescription drugs stolen, along with a small quantity of cash from a till.
He said the shop had to shut temporarily this morning while police carried out fingerprinting and other work on the premises, but re-opened later.
Four York pharmacies - Boots in Goodramgate, Boots in Acomb,Living Care Pharmacy in Acomb, and the Upper Poppleton pharmacy - were raided last week.
Police said two men in their 30s from York had been arrested in connection with the MJ Roberts burglary. Two men were also arrested last week in connection with one of the Acomb burglaries. One of them was released without further action, with the other released under investigation while enquiries continued.
